Notice to Branch Customers on behalf of Front-line staff

Banking services are vital in our communities and staff are working in challenging and difficult circumstances to keep these services going.

Where branches remain open, strict precautions must be implemented to protect front-line staff and customers, and to reduce the spread of the virus. As a customer, you play a key role in this. Acting in a responsible manner will help contain the spread of this virus.  

  • Before you visit a location, ask yourself is it necessary? Can your transaction be done in another way or can it be postponed?
  • Follow the guidelines set out by the HSE while attending branches, including social distancing, coughing etiquette and hand sanitation.
  • Please be kind and courteous to frontline staff in all professions as they continue to keep vital services going through this crisis.

Front-line staff have fears and concerns like you and everyone else in society. They have families, friends and loved ones who worry about them as they continue to serve the public.

They don’t have the same work options as others. The FSU would encourage customers to support any measures that their bank has put in place, and to follow the guidelines set out by the HSE while attending branches, including social distancing, coughing etiquette and hand sanitation.
